Calendar Contest Winner
Temi Ilori is the winner of the Library’s 2nd annual Counting the Days ‘til Kindergarten Cover Kids Contest. Temi will be a kindergartner at Green Elementary School in the fall. Her photo will be on the cover of the Library’s 2008 – 2009 Counting the Days ‘til Kindergarten calendar, which is full of great tips to prepare your child for kindergarten. You can pick up a copy of this year’s calendar at the Main Library or the West Acres branch library.
Language of the Heart
Each family has a “Language of the Heart,” which is the language that your family speaks at home. Our children go to school and grow up with children who speak many different languages. Parent University
The West Bloomfield Township Public Library and the West Bloomfield School District are proud to present Parent University, 2007 – 2008. This program series is designed to help parents become "learning coaches." You don’t have to become an expert in math, language arts, science or social studies for your child to be a competent and confident student. You do need to be involved in your child’s school experience. Parental involvement is critical to student success.
