Outreach Cards (Homebound/Nursing Home)

Homebound

People who are eligible for a library card, but are homebound, can still use our library services. The card is renewable every three (3) years.

Card Responsibilities

• The established Library fines and fees schedule and library loan rules must be followed.
• Accrued fines and fees are the responsibility of the card holder.
• All outstanding fines and fees must be paid before the card may be renewed.

Card Privileges

• Adult feature vidoes and DVDs are available for a 2-day loan and cannot be renewed.
• All other circulating library materials are available for loan for a 28-day (4 week) checkout, and there is a one (1)-renewal limit on items eligible for renewal.
• Holds or interlibrary loans may be requested with the card.
• Due to licensing agreements, this card does not provide remote access to the Library’s databases.

Outreach

The Library is now offering a special use Outreach Library Card to any authorized retirement home, nursing home or senior care facility located in the legal service area of West Bloomfield Township Public Library.

Applicants must submit proof of identification and an Institution Library Card application that includes the signature of the director/contact person.

The card is renewable on an annual basis by the contact person.

Card Responsibilities

• Use of the Institution Library Card is intended to support the operation of the institution. It is not for the personal needs of the cardholder.
• The established Library fines and fees schedule and library loan rules must be followed.
• Accrued fines and fees are the responsibility of the institution.
• Overdue notices are sent to the attention of the contact person at the institution. All outstanding fines and fees must be paid before the card may be renewed.

Card Privileges

• All circulating youth library materials are available for institutional loan for a 28-day (4 week) checkout. There is a one (1)-renewal limit on items eligible for renewal
• Holds or interlibrary loans may be requested with the card.
• Due to licensing agreements, this card does not provide remote access to the Library’s databases.
