Catalog Search Widget

Search the Library Catalog easily using the WBLIB Search widget.

What is a widget?

A widget is a little program that lives on your desktop. Widgets are usually interactive. Our widget lets you type in whatever you want to search for at the library and find it in one click.

Download Instructions

1. If you do not already have it, download the Yahoo Widget Engine. This program allows you to run widgets, manages your widgets, and comes with many free useful widgets.
2. Download the WBLIB Search widget and save it to your desktop, or another convenient location.
3. Double click on the WBLIB.widget file. You will be asked if you want to use it. Say yes. The widget will appear on your desktop.
   

   

4. Click on the widget when you want to use it. A button will appear in the center.
   

   

5. Click on the button and a search box will slide out. (Note: don't place your widget too close to the right edge of the screen, or the search box will slide right off your monitor.)
   

   

6. Type your search term (topic, author, title, etc.) into the search box and click GO.
